The House
Named for the gate that kept the City's eastern entrance.
Aldgate is a commercial debt recovery house for UK businesses. The name, the manner and the process are of the City: measured, precise and true.

The name
Six centuries at the eastern gate.
Aldgate stood where the road from Essex entered the City of London. Trade passed beneath it or it did not pass at all. The gate was rebuilt in 1609, drawn by the City's own order, and taken down stone by stone in 1761.
The mark we carry is that gate. We hold the name to its meaning: a debt owed to your business is not a misunderstanding to be smoothed over. It is an obligation, and obligations are answered at the gate.
The ward
The Ward of Aldgate
The name belongs to the oldest quarter of the City of London, where the eastern gate kept the entrance and the City's business was settled in full.

The manner
Measured. Precise. True.
The voice of the House, kept on every page and in every letter.
Measured
Short sentences, stated once. No urgency theatre, no exclamation, and no threat that cannot be carried out.
Precise
Amounts, dates and next steps are exact. Every claim about process names the recovery partner where it acts.
True
Escalation is described only as it exists: referred to the recovery partner, who can pursue legal proceedings.
How the House works
One house, one partner, one process.
Aldgate is the house you instruct. Recovery and any legal escalation are carried out through our recovery partner, a relationship we disclose plainly because it is a strength, not a footnote.
You deal with one name and one reference throughout. Behind that name, each stage is carried out by the party best placed to act: demand under the Aldgate name, escalation and any proceedings by the recovery partner.
You instruct Aldgate
The debt, the history and the documents arrive through one enquiry.
We assess and demand
The claim is reviewed and formal demand is issued under the Aldgate name.
The partner escalates
Unsettled matters are referred to the recovery partner, who can issue a letter of claim and, where instructed, proceedings.
You are informed throughout
Every letter copied, every stage notified, one point of contact to close.
The Aldgate position
For businesses that expect to be paid.
Put the matter to the House.
Enquiries are without obligation.
